In the game between the runners-up in the Hants and Surrey Divisions 1 two strong defences restricted the scoring chances in the opening half in which Wanderers won four penalty corners to Alton’s one.
After two goals in the 38th minute from Eric Woodward (Alton) and Marcus Cameron (Wanderers) a more open, attacking game ensued with Arran Abbott scoring Alton’s winner in the 50th minute.
